Congratulations Municipality of Hinatuan under the leadership of Mayor Shem G. Garay for passing the 2018 Child-Friendly Governance Audit. Having passed the CFLGA, Hinatuan was conferred with Seal of Child Friendly Local Governance by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) held on November 5, 2019 in Butuan City.
The SCFLG award is both a tribute and challenge to LGU-Hinatuan to further enhance the delivery of social services for children as the government aims for Child-Friendly Philippines. Hinatuan was also conferred with the 2017 Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG) in a ceremony held on November 13, 2018 at Dottie’s Place in Butuan City.
Mayor Garay thanked the agencies who have seen their efforts in protecting the rights of the children. He said that the recognition is a testament to the effectiveness of the programs and initiatives employed by the local government to promote and ensure a child-friendly environment and governance in Hinatuan.
